eclipse head unit wire harness adaptor

I just got a used eclipse 5606 headunit. Unfortunately, the previous owner threw out the manual and harness. Does anybody know where I can pick up a scosche eclipse --> 95+ nissan adaptor? I'm also looking for a dash kit and a copy of the manual.

Also, since the headunit's been unplugged, will I get a security error from the headunit?

Thanx!

Jae

you will get a code warning on startup.. calling a local shop, they will tell you bring it in. They will run the serial by eclipse. If it's stolen, they wont tell you.. they will tell you it's ready but cops will be waiting.. Make sure that previous owner is being honest about that HU.. 'cause Eclipse doesnt play...

www.sounddomain.com

Should have all that you need. Dash kits, harnesses the works. If not then a local shop should be able to get something for you quickly.

I would definitely do what Tim says about the Eclipse. They defintiely don't mess around. If the previous owner told you what the CD-key was or if he disabled the CD-key before he sold it to you, then all you would have to do would be to program in a new key and your ESN would be ready to rock!!

I called sounddomain and the rep was very very helpful.
then I called Eclipse and they said I need to get a security cd from the previous owner. If he doesn't have it, then i will need info from him, call eclipse, unregister him and register myself. geez...that's really good security, but frustrating for me!

Glad to hear that sounddomain could help you out!!

Definitely Eclipse is a pain, but if your deck is stolen and turns up somewhere then you will get it back! That's part of the security.

All of this is true about the security, but ONLY if the previous owner even set up his ESN. Some people do, some people dont.

Yes it is a pain sometimes, but who else is thatt far advanced on security?

I love my Eclipse !

Ater two hours searching I can confirm that www.Sounddomain.com was the cheapest for harness adaptors by about half. They are not totally upfront what shipping will be, BUT BEFORE you put in your credit card info they will tell you what shipping costs. It appears the minimum is $4.95 for shipping, which is very reasonable.

Also I found the lowest price I've seen for a JVC CD/receiver I just bought. Highly recommended!

I need something that can plug into the right 2 white sockets shown in this pic: http://autos.werd.com/thurznite/pics...adio/front.JPG

If you have that, I'll take it off your hands. Thanx!

Sounddomain guy I talked to didn't seem all that smart. He said all nissans require an antenna adaptor. That's not true. Only cars w/diversity antenna and pre-1995 Nissans do. He also couldn't find me a dash kit w/o a lower pocket. grrr

Having just installed a Cd/MP3 player into my 2000 Maxima (12/10/2002), I can say that Sound Domain served me well. Their "SCOSCHE" NN03 wiring harnass for "1995 - UP Maximas" fit perfectly my 2000 Maxima at a cost that was less than half of what everyone else asked ($4.95)! I also purchased for $3.95 their antenna adaptor that adapted my Stock Nissan NON-Bose radio and it's diversity antenna to my aftermarket JVC unit. In short, at least for non-bose radios in a stock 2000 Maxima they DO use a diversity antenna and an adaptor is needed to use aftermarket radios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sound Domain is a first class outfit, very cheap, knowledgeable, but they don't hold your hand as much as Clutchfield! Nevertheless I found Customer Service as good as it gets!!!
