what type of amp I need????

I type of amp I need to run a sub with my factory stereo?

you're running those kappa components off the stock deck too I imagine?

if I were you, I'd look into getting a new deck before an amp & sub..

I guess it's some I truly need to consider huh?


I just thought it would be easier and less expensive to go that route...

less expensive? yes.. easier? eh.. you have to get a LOC if the amp you want doesn't have speaker level inputs, and either way you have to tap into the rear speaker wires, which is a pita & messy..

if you're not looking for a giant system, there are a few great options with 4, 5 & 6 channel amps.. depending on if you want rear fill or not..

getting a quality aftermarket HU and an amp on the fronts will make a huge difference in sound quality..
