Basslink auto turn-on question

I'm thinking about getting a Basslink, and am trying to plan out the installation. How does the auto turn-on feature work? I plan to use the pre-amp output from my aftermarket HU to send the signal to the Basslink instead of using the speaker-level input of the BL. Is it possible to use the auto turn-on with the line-level inputs? Or am I going to have to switch the unit on every time I want to use it (or wire it to go on with the HU)?

Thanks,

Doug

i'm pretty sure it senses a signal from the rca or line-in and turns itself on. i remember that installation was rediculously simple.

If using the speaker-level inputs, an audio-sense circuit will turn on the amplifier whenever a signal is present. If the RCAs are used, a 12-volt, remote-turn-on lead is required. The system has barrier strip connections for power, ground and remote turn-on.
