HELP Choosing DEI Alarm??

I want to have the top of the line alarm from DEI put into my 2k3 Maxima SE 6spd. Obviously I do not care about remote start, since I cannot use it. I would like to have an alarm that is very diverse, as far as paging capability, also I believe there is one that you can pay a monthly fee and you can have a service tell you the status of your car (not too sure). I would like to stick with the Viper product, however if you all have better suggestions I am open.

Options needed:
1. Window Module for Front, Rear, Sunroof to open and close.
2. Shock Sensor
3. Glass Break Sensor
4. Parameter Sensor (When someone is too close it give a warning and if it is continued the alarm goes off.

Yes I do want to have all the goodies and a well designed alarm.

Skip the Vipers and head to Clifford. The Avantguard4 is awesome. You will need to add modules to get those extra features you want (roughly $50 each). In addition, you'll need the new DEI Responder to get the 2way FM paging capability, and that's another $300+

All in all, you're looking at $1000 on a kick arsh system. Man, I wish I had that!

if you want to spend less but get the same thing, Python's are generally cheaper than Viper and are exactly the same thing.

I may be wrong here, and I am aware that all of these brands fall under DEI. But I heard that they will be discontuning the Clifford line shortly and this is why I have been stared away from it. My girl is having the 790XV Responder installed in her 2k2 SE-R tomorrow. I wanted to know what alarm are out there that I can get a quote on. I was looking at the Viper 800.

What do you all think?
By the way the reason I am getting an alarm is because some PUNK *** thieves stole my pops ride over the weekend, we found it a couple days ago TOTALLED!

It has been discussed about Clifford, but may not happen.

I have the 800 in my car, and the main benifit is the extra channels.

Don, can you provide a brief description on the 800 as opposed to the 700 or 600. As stated before I would like to get an alarm that can provide audible sensor, glass break sensor, shock sensor, front and rear up/down window module and sunroof. Basically if I am going to get a top of the line alarm I want to get every option available. Also can you quote me a price. I am not sure when I will be doing this but hopefully soon. Thanks in advanced!

Viper Alarm Information

Basically, the 800 has more input/output channels than the 600. Other than that, they are the same. I have the 800 installed in my car.

Input Channels
1) Trunk
2-3) 2 Shock Sensors (Dual Stage)
4) Motion Sensor
5) Doors
6) Starter Kill

Output Channels -
1) Starter Kill
2) Trunk release
3) Front Windows down
4) Rear Windows down
5) Front/Rear Windows down (All 4 down via 1-touch on remote)
6) Remote Start

As you can see, a 600 would be maxed out at this point. But since I have an 800, I'm gonna be adding a sunroof module (hopefully if I can get it to work) and some other top secret ideas as well. You can always piggy-back devices to a channel (meaning that the shock sensors, glass break, and motion can all be wired to the same 2 wires, saving you a channel or 2). But if you want control options - like windows up AND windows down, you'll need more channels. I chose not to have a seperate channel for windows up because they roll up when I arm the system.

If the price isn't that much different, get the 800, since it will allow you a little more flexibility in the long run. Both are good alarms, but be sure to get the backup battery to go with it.
