Distorted Staging?!?!?!

im definetly getting a set of focal utopia 165w3's for my front stage. this is a 3-way set. i was thinkin of gettin the utopia 2-ways for the rear, but would there be too much power in the rear and pull the stage backwards? they both have rms of 100 watts and i was gonna get 2 pg amps to fuel them. thanks for the help

Unless you are doing a surround system you really don't want tweeters in the rear of the car. It will only mess up your imaging. Most people will tell you that you don't need rear speakers at all. It really comes down to personal preference. If you are going to be running a Utopia set, you might want to find this one guy that is selling sets of Utopia 7" mids on here. Those would be sweet. If you do a search for Focal you will probably find one of his posts.

i intend to have passengers in my car, and i want them to have a sweet audio experience also. that was why i was goin to go double comps. i just dont want the rear stage to be too strong and mess up imaging

A mid range in the rear should be enough for the rear passengers. They will have the ambience behind them, but the stage in front. It's not like you can not hear the front tweets from the rear of the car. Also, their experience should not interfere with your experience. Unless they bought the car and pay for the stereo.
