Bose System

I got a Bose System in the 96 and wanted to leave the speaker system in it. Now I took it to some places and some said they can do it and some said that they can't. Does Anyone have any info on the Bose system? Any links or help would be apperciated.

Thanks

You have me confused. Of course you can leave your speakers in. You want to pay someone to leave your stero alone???

Do you mean you want to change your head unit and leave stock speakers??

I have the same problem as you! With the bose system there are amps inside the speakers or something like that. I just install my new head unit in but the sound sucks. Why because of the amps in the speakers. So when i play my music at let's say volume 5 on my head unit but the bose speakers are playing at volume 10. There are two ways to fix this.

1: Rewire your whole system
2: Get the harness (So you can control the output on the amps)

You can find this harness at

Go here for all the info you can handle about the Bose Stereo system.

http://www.carstereohelp.com

You're going to have to explore the site for a while, but read their FAQ.
