Bel 985 or passport 8500

I am just wondering if the 8500 is worth the extra $30-40 it will cost me. I want a V1 but $399 seems like to much for me to drop on a radar so thats out. Please vote I am looking at getting this right before my christmas trip home. Matt

Passport 8500 hands down! My friend has the 8500 and i have the 7500, and another had a V1 before he sold it. The V1 is good because it tells you where the cop is, but its not as great as all the hype. The 7500 is good, but the 8500 is excellent.

Just my two cents - My Valentine has saved my rear on more occasions than I care to remember. Wife has a Passport and my V1 blows it away.
Either way, you still need a detector.
