Help! Speaker wires to front doors?

Well, now that my head unit has been ripped off and the dash is nice and exposed I've decided to wire up the front speakers for real. Make a day of it, install new A/C controls, bezels, trim, radio, and do some wiring. Fun fun.
So... how do I go about running quality speaker cable into the doors? I can see the factory wiring rubber tunnel but am unsure how to access it. Getting the seats out, door trim off, carpeting removed is a cinch. As I've done this before, just not sure how to access the wiring 'tunnel'. Does it require removing the glove box or entire dash?
I have some Polk DX components already in the door, with the crossover mounted in the door cavity securely. So, literally, it just a matter of running the cable.
When I originally had the 4 channel amp installed the audio shop created some heinous jurry rig hack that ran the speaker wire from the amp back into the factory wiring harness. (BAD) Subsequently I bridged this amp just for the fronts after I installed seperate amps for the sub and rears. (Which are directly wired, thank you.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And if you see a Alpine 3DA-W882 in a pawn shop let me know, I want it back. Friggin theives.
