6x9 worries
#1
went to circut city and best buy today and i have narrowed my 6x9 choices down to
Infinity 3-way 6x9's $129 open box
Rockford Fosgate 2-way 6x9's $129 regular
both handle way more than the 45 watts i'm going to run to them, i'm just wondering what people have to say about these brands, specifically loudness and quality. the RF's sounded loud and crisp, and while the infinity's are known for clarity, i didn't really hear a difference, and the RF's sound like they have more mid bass. opinions?

Have you considered blowing off rear speakers altogether, and going with a modestly priced Subwoofer in a modestly priced Q-logic box? ($60 dollar woofer, $70 dollar box, about the same price that you're looking at). I say that because it sounds like you already have an amplifier, so you could probably do that pretty easily. (Dontcha just hate people like me, who go changing subjects on you?)
Even an inexpensive Kenwood or Pioneer Sub properly installed in a decent box would make much more (and deeper) bass than even the best 6x9s, and then you could use your front speakers alone to create a front "sound stage".
To answer your question now... I personally like Infinity as a brand, overall, but Rockford Fosgate is a good company too, and I havent' heard either speaker personally. My guess is, either one will be fine, specially since it sounds like you'll be giving decent power to them.
