Front Door Speaker

When you install front Component Speakers in a 2000 Maxima, should you have to put the component control box in a Sealed PLastic bag? This is what I found when I took off my door today to fix a rattle in there. I wouldn't think you should have to do that. Any Ideas?

I have mine in a plastic bag

The reason you put it in a plastic bag is so that moisture won't get to it. Just added protection for your investment.
