How to properly adjust my BP600.1 amp?

Okay guys, I just bought a JBL BP600.1 amp to power my 1 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1. I've hooked up everything and everything works fine, but I now have no idea on how to properly adjust these settings:
-Input Level
-LPF Freq (what exactly is this?)
-Bass Boost

I tried following the owners manual but the explanations arent very good. I was hoping someone with this amp could help me out. Thanks,

Nathan

I would put the LPF to around 90 hertz or so. That is just the setting for the crossover, so you don't get frequencies above that setting. Actually you do, but its not as loud. Hmm...hope I made sense there. It's basically a cutoff point so your sub doesn't get unwanted frequencies. I don't like to run bass boost, so I would keep that off. As for your input level. I would turn it up to as loud as you listen to, and slowly turn that up til you start to get some distortion from the sub. Then turn that down just a lil and listen to how everything sounds in the car w/ the trunk closed. If you like the sound of it, then you are good to go.

Thanks so much for the help! I'll go right now and adjust the settings.

btw, your max looks so hot! It makes me wish I still had my '99 max.

Thanks for the complement. Let me know if that works. That's what I've always done when I got new amps. My friend works at circuit city and he did installations. He normally doesn't turn on the bass boost, b/c they would start to distort and then start blowing subs. That's a sweet amp you got there. My jbl 1200.1 and there 4 channel amp should be arriving to my house on monday.

Good choice of amps. I was going to get the BP1200.1 but my Infinity Kappa 12.1 can only handle 350rms and I was worried I would blow it. Well I did adjust the amp tonight and I've decided I need another Infinity sub. The bass hits pretty hard but isn't as much as I was hoping for.

btw, which 4 channel amp did you end up getting?

I got the jbl b80.4 I have an alpine mrvf340 right now. But since I got the jbl bp1200.1, I decided I wanted to keep the amps the same, so I sold the alpine amp.
My buddy has the bp600.1 and is running 2 alpine type r's and they pound in his cavalier. Jbl makes some really sweet subs
