Re: r these good speakers for $90, eclipse audio

I have the 8253's and they do not handle much power. IMO there are better choices out there for the dollar. The tweeter on my 8253 (5.25" coaxil) seemed a bit too bright. I like the way the infinity reference series sounds.

The Eclipse's are decent but for $90 I would rather have these Crystal's. The Kappas are also good and can be had for under $90 on ebay. Just my $.02

Which series are you talking of?
My eclipse 8253's can be outdone by many other companies, for less money.

And there we have it folks, the almighty Don has spoken, who thinks that just because he has installed a few car alarms and can spell Diamond that it makes him the audio god.

While I have not listened to the two side-by-side it is my opinion that the Crystals sound better. That's not to say that the Eclipse are bad speakers or that someone else might think differently, it is just my opinion.

I'm sorry that I ever voiced my opinion. I'll take my hours upon hours spent in listening rooms, sound booths and anechoic chambers and go to another thread where people might care about something more than dealer hype.

Excuse me??? First of all it meant as a Joke. Second of all there is no need for your sarcasm. Thinks? A few alarms? A few a week maybe... I am truly sorry that my 15+ years is not enough experience for you to to let me voice my opinions.

I do also have available all three of the brands as well as many others, so I am not biased towards any. Once again it was meant as a joke, and if you get that heated over something so small, maybe another thread IS for you.

I do not question your experience or credibility as a dealer. However, I do condone the arrogant way that you present your "opinion" while at the same time downing the opinions of others (including those who own the speakers and admit that there are better out there for the money). The thread starter asked for an opinion, not a joke about those who are willing to reply.

Sorry for ranting and bogging down the thread.

Hey Don, what do you mean by this? Are you saying the Eclipse speakers arent any comparision to the infinity's or the other way around? This is a serious question, i'm just confused with the post. Thanks,

Nathan
