Amp for 12 Alpine Type R

I just got a 12 Alpine Type R Sub, now I don't know what Amp to power it and what kind of Wires to use. Also is there anything else I need that I don't know about. I'm not a stero person.

JL 500/1 is ur sub in a box...stupid question...but u didnt state...then get either a 4 or 8 gauge amp wiring kit...

If you help me install everything I'll pay you and feed you. I need to install my 7" Screen, HU, All 4 speakers, Amp and Sub. I live in Southwest side. I'll give you $75.

Ok for the amp i'm getting a Pheonix Gold 600x1 Amp now for the wires I'm going to get 8 guage, but now i don't know what brand.
