Auto Headlight problem with remote starter
Auto Headlight problem with remote starter
I have a 2k2 and just installed my remote starter. As some of you are already experiencing, my headlights don't go off by itself when I use the remote start and turn it off using the remote (or get turned off automatically after 10 minutes). I found out that the driver door has to be triggered for the auto headlights to go off from one of the posts. My alarm has an 300ms pulsed output at shutoff which i thought i might hook it up to driver door, so the car *thinks* the door has been opened (and shut). The problem though is that my alarm is still armed at remote start and if i trigger the door, my alarm will go off. Alarm experts, any suggestions on how i might be able to go around this? Well, other than leaving my headlight switch to OFF position. My apologies for not being very clear, i'm not too good at putting things in words but i think some of you might know what i'm talking about. Thanks
