amp to power IDMAX

i was wondering if anybody knows if a phoenix gold 1200.1 tantrum is too much power for a 12" IDMAX. Also do you think that phoenix gold is a good choice for a amp or would you recommend something else??? Thanks

IDMax is rated at 1000 watts RMS/ 1800 watts MAX Power

My tantrum 1200.1 tested at 1500W. So, no it is not too much power for the IDMax. I would reccomend getting the tantrum...I really like mine.
