audio guru needed!

ok here's my problem. I have a 2 10" L7's in kicker ported box with two kicker zr360 amps (one running to each sub) and a stinger one farred cap. my problem is the bass is really weak and it just doesn't make sense, those subs should be blasting me out of the car. I replace the rca's I had with a single monster cable rca wire that spits off into two that helped I little bit. the bass just really seems sloopy and not very loud, just kinda rattles everything unless it's very deep bass then it seems like there are entirely two different subs in the back cause it makes you about deaf. what is going on could it be the head unit? I not enough air space in the trunk? help please!

What he is saying is check to see if the positives and negatives on the subs match the posi and neg on the amp. Also unless you have the dual voice coil 2Ohm L7's you are not pushing much power to these subs The zr360 is rated at 90x2 at 40hm. So your not pushing much to a sub that handles 600 watts rms.

Im 99% sure they were all dual then, double check your wiring, the way it is setup, like Redmax said will make all the difference.

check your polarity that seems right., if the ohms are too high, they wont be kicking.

If only the deep bass is getting through, check the crossover for the amps. Wiring is probably the problem, but I have had a few amps come from the factory with the crossover at the lowest setting. Hope this helps.

I checked they're the s10 L7's the polarity is right, i checked it too. I took everything out of my car I'm gonna run all new wiring and I got a new fuse box to split the 4 guage into two 8 eight guage. oh yeah the zr360 comes with a built in cross over, it's like a chip that you pull out of the side of it that you can adjust, I'll play around with that. anoghter question my friend gave me his old 1 farred car would it hurt to run two brands of different caps one to each amp?

Yes, The zr360 has a crossover module. I have a zr360 also. which Crossover module is in your amp? Switch the switch to low pass and put the frequency switch to the middle position

You don't need a 1 farad cap for that little power anyway, let anlone 2. Your box might not be tuned right or a host of other problems. Sorry to hear the bass isn't hittin.
