What else do I need to make and download digital motion stuff. Do I need to buy a progam or something. It's a Sony cam corder and it did not come with anything about producing digital movies. It only had info about producing JPEG images. Anyway I'm a novice when it comes to electronics/pc stuff so try to explain as simple as A-B-C. One more thing, for all those who have help me with my audio mod, thanks, it's almost complete. Cant wait to hear what it sounds like

Digital Video

Hey,

You will need a firewire card. Dont go cheap, get a good one. 200-500 bucks. Check out http://www.videoguys.com they are great there. I have the DV300, its a great card.
The better capture cards (aka firewire card) will come with all the software you need to edit, which is usually adobe premiere 5.1 . Its a good video editing program, its what i use. Pretty easy to learn.
Thats the basics. Check out http://www.likeastory.com thats a BBS about film making. E-mail me if you need more help
