I know this is possible

Lets say i got a 1 channel amp how do u hook up 2 subs to the one channel
the amp is 1200x1
I forget how to hook up the subs
Does this sound just as good as if i were to hook em up to 2 channels

or


Would i be better off lets say usin one sub that handles up to 1400 watts with just one amp?

i am not sure how 1 sub with that many watts is as good as 2 subs with lets say 800 watts combined

I would assume that you could just run 2 sets of speaker wire from the one output of the amp; which in effect would be the same as wiring the subs in parallel. . . Only problem is you would have to make sure the amp can handle the new resistance of the 2 speakers wired like that. If they are both 8 Ohm speakers, then the resistance is equal to 4 Ohms, and if they are both 4 Ohm speakers, then the resistance is equal to 2 Ohms. The sound quality will be just as good as long as you aren't trying to do stereo sound with the subs, which I don't think anyone does.

You can always have a box built for the two subs with a mono port. Meaning, that the speaker outlet (where you hook the wires comming from the amp to) would only have 2 ports, one for negative and one for positive. Both subwoofers could be wired to that one port.
