Why bother with the in-dash dvd player? Get a nice cd HU with AUX imputs and then just get a "in house" dvd/mp3/vcd player... stick this under your seat or in your trunk and you are set. You will save yourself some serious $ that way and if anything happens to your car (theft) you wont suffer too much.

I don't really see how you would save any money by getting a headunit and a seperate dvd player, especially if you can get the panasonic for $300 and while its probably not the best it works and the intall would be easier. If your going to get a real nice hu then you can definitely afford to spend the little extra that you would spend on a decent "in house" dvd player, and spring for the in dash dvd. Plus, they're not that expensive anymore if you find the right deal. The question is really which one to buy. If I had the money I would probably get the eclipse, but the panasonic is more in my budget.
