speaker placement 2000 max se

I've been hearing about how you have to put modify the current speakers in the maxima door so that you can put new ones in (like using the old speaker basket as a frame for the new speakers) well, i was also wondering that if instead of doing that can i use the 5 1/4 adapter and will that work.

i want to keep my stocks just in case i decide to sell my max. SO if there is any other option let me know! =)

oh yeah i plan to buy hifonics components to match my hifonics amp (taurus x). ebay $65.00
also looking at cerwin vegas or eclipses

p.s. i also have the max se with premium sound...not bose

thnks

Just make some trim out of particle board and put some nice ones in there (6.5 all around), takes no time and about 10 minutes of cutting. I had to use 2 pieces due to the depth of the perfects, but still all good.
