Usually about 15-20 ft.

 

I would say 15 feet would be just fine. I have a 13' power cord in y 5th gen and also in my 3rd gen and it worked out just fine. Depends on how you fun your RCA wires depends on how long you need. I ran mine down behind my pedals and down the side of the door cause me to used more wire than I had too (15ft). Run the RCA's down the center consol like you're suppose to and 12 feet should do you just fine aswell.

You could always just pick your route you want to take and measure for the demensions. Then add a foot or two just to be on the safe side.
