Help! 2k2 Bose HU removal - wire harness!

Ok, I feel like a real idiot posting this, but I have a problem.

I've got the HU out, the dash apart, etc.

But now the DAMNED plugs from the factory wiring harness won't come out of the back of the Head Unit!

I've tried everything, and I've almost come to the conclusion that it's not as obvious as it looks.

Those of you who have removed the 2k2 BOSE HU, and removed the factory wiring harness from the back of it, how in the hell did you do it?

I'm half tempted to take it to an install place to have them take the plugs out, except for that whole shame and trying to keep my pride intact thing.

Please help!

Thanks!

John

Using a small, flat-blade screwdriver, insert the screwdriver between the white tab that you press down - AND - the radio unit itself. Press the screwdriver blade down and pull the connector out. It's a little tough the first couple of times, but then it gets easier.

Thanks for the help Studman. I eventually figured out that if I put a flathead screwdriver below the plugs and used a sort of lever action they would pop right out. The AOEM-NIS2 is absolutely amazing! Just like you and others said, it is completely plug 'n' play and made my auxillary sub and amp setup sound tons better.

BTW - I know several people have been pointing people to tune-town and all for the AOEM-NIS2 for $80, well, I ordered my adapter for $60 including shipping (it only took 2 days to get here!).

That's the site. I placed my order by phone, and it came immediately.

Thanks for that link. Man I love this place for information. Once I get that and my sub, I think I will try the install myself. Seems pretty easy since there will be no splicing wires. Gotta love plug and play.
