Place for RCA cables?

Does the 2k bose stereo have a place for the RCA cables coming from my aftermarket amp? I would like to know before taking it apart and if it doesn't what should I do to hook the RCA cables up?

no it does not. If it's like the 4th gen's Bose, you will need to connect a line-level converter to your rear speaker wires. Also, use a volt meter to test which wire turns one of the rear BOSE amps on and off with the radio. Use that to connect to the remote terminal on the amp.

Thanx man. Do u happen to know where I can get a line-level converter to do this? I have a thing that tells what all the wires on the Bose amp are and which is the remote wire. Do I connect the line-level converter to the IN wires from the rear speakers to the amp or the OUT wires from the amp to the rear speakers?

What I did in my 98 was take down the amp(three screw hold it up to the speaker. The two wires that go from the amp to the speaker are the speaker wires that you will need to use. Connect the input wires of the line-level converter to those speaker wires. I bought my converter at an audio shop, but I used a $10 converter from Walmart in my friend's mustang and it worked just as good.(I tried mine in his car first) Good luck.

In the 5th gen there is a sub in the back window and the back speakers in the door. Would it work the same if I connected the line-level converter to the + and - wires from the Bose amp to the Bose sub instead of one of the door speakers?

I'm not sure, the 4th gens must be different. I would think it would work though. You may only get the sub freqs, but that's all you want anyway.
