Help! Amp turns off when a CD is playing!
Help! Amp turns off when a CD is playing!
I just installed the PAC AOEM-NIS2 adapter in my 5th gen. When I turn on the radio, my Phoenix Gold amp goes on. When I switch to a CD, the amp turns off. Then it will turn back on when I switch back to the radio. What could I have done wrong? There is only one power wire. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Edit: If you car has bose you can also use the power line that runs to the sub in back.
When I had my prelude, I had a separate turn on wire for the power antenna. When the cd player was turned on, the antenna would go down. Possibly the remote turn on wire for the cd player is connected to a wire such as this. I'm not too familar with the nissans headunit yet, but it sounds like that is the case. Even though my 2k2 doesnt have a power antenna. Especially if the amp shuts off only when the cd player is on. Did you splice any wiring? Is the adapter the correct model for your car?
Thanks for the answers, guys.
The amp was installed by an audio place and they had the power spliced into a purple wire coming off the head unit. When I replaced the Stinger adapter with the PAC, I left the power the way it was. Then I was advised to wire the power of the amp to the remote turn on that is provided by the PAC. That's what I don't understand. There is only one wire to run to. It is coming off the back of the PAC adapter and it said "remote turn on." So, I attached the amp's power wire to that. It was working perfectly before, but the amp would stay on when the deck was off, and I was told that wasn't good. It is a Bose HU, by the way.

. Check to see if there's any power running to the stock bose sub in the deck - you could probably use that.Edit: Try tapping Green/white wire in the smaller connector on the back of the head unit and check this link for more info:
