Question about Bose CD changer

I posted this in the 5th gen forum but didn't get a reply so I thought I would post it here.

This may be a dumb question but I see that there is an option to have the CD or track title listed while the CD is playing. No matter what CD I put in it after a few second I get a No Title message after scrolling through the three choices: Title Off, CD Title, and Track Title. Is there some way to program the player to read this? These are not CD-R's I am putting in either they are CD's. Thanks.

The CD you are trying to play-back does not have "CD Text" information written on it. In order for the HU to read the title, etc, the CD has to have CD Text information written on the disc. Most store-bought CDs do not have CD Text, but some do.

If you are burning CDRs, then check to see if your CD burning software supports CD Text. Your CD Writer must also support CD Text as well. Check with the Manufacturer of the CD Burner and Burning software for more information on how to burn a CD with CD Text.
