Sup guys, within the next few weeks im going to be buying an amp for my 3 audiobahn alum 12 subwoofers(dual 6 ohm 1000 watts rms, hopefully). i am stuck on what kinda amp to get, i have bad expeeriences with my old system where i had cheap amps(pyle, performance technique). For my new system im going all out which is why i got my 3 A-bahns. each say they can run 1000rms and connected can run at 1ohm. i need a 1 ohm stable amp that can do at least 1200 watts rms. A suggestion my friend made is the JBL 1200 watt amp which he said is 1 ohm stable, this is what he has and i am impressed with it. I was just searchin ebay and ran across an MA Audio MA4082HX 2500w 2Ch Amplifier. According to the specs this amp can do 2400 watts @ 1ohm. i know people over rate their stuff, but i think this amp is pretty good for the price if i can get at least 3/4 of the stated power rating. Well please leave any oppinions and vote for which amp you would choose, if you choose other please stae your suggestion, my price range is 250-300 max.

what kind of ma audio amp are you getting torgus. im seriously thinking of getting the MA amp i listed. guys If it really does run that power will it:
A- Blow my subs
B- Kill my altenator or other electrical components
i know i will get a deep cycle battery also and 2farad caps, will it be enough. I do believe audiobahn over rates their subs but im positive they can do at least 800rms. when looking for an amp do i add the rms of each sub if so the total will be 2400 watts(800watts each X 3 subs)the MA says it can do 2500 watts rms @ 1 ohm, so i believe it will be a perfect watch for my subs, what do you guys think?

 

mine is a 4002 but its last years model which is alll chrome. not like their new product line, which looks good also. my amp will do 700rms @ 2 ohm or 1000x2 @ 1 ohm unles i'm mistaken. i'v had friend who have had ma audio amps and never had a problem. i'm paying 500 for this amp.i can't find the specs of mine onlien anywhere but i never looked that hard i'll have the actually paper specs in 2 days...unless my paycheck comes tomarrow that is =]. btw i myself am getting an optima yellow top and will probably throw on a 2 1 farad caps by ma maudio....gotot their website and check out some of their caps..very stylish...also the price for a 5 farad cap is resonable. if caps really do anything....that is...

 

torgus, i guess im going to go ahead with the MA Audio. Only thing is i dont have the money now, mabey in 2.5 weeks i will have enough to get it. I forget the price but i think it was 339+ shipping in the auction for buy it now. You said your amp will cost 500, dont take this the wrong way but the specs of my amp says its 2500x1 @1ohm which sounds more powerful than yours yet it is only 339. Im not sure of what else your amp has to offer, i just want to make sure because if your amp is $500 i think mine should be a lil higher. If my amp is that cheap mabey it might have some problems, or is refurbished. im not sayin anything to put down your amp(it does sound like a great amp btw)but i just want to make sure that i dont get stuck with some garbage refurbished. or also did you try ebay for the amp you chose or is that a retail price. im gonna check out the MA AUDIO site for the caps to see what they have.thanx torrgus you helped me out big time.
If any of you guys still have suggestions im open to hear them, remember i still have 2-3 weeks till purchase, please voice your oppinion.
