question for guys with Bose and PAC-SNI 35
well, i installed 12" woofer with 200W pioneer amp using PAC SNI 35 tapped in to the rear speakers , after the amps. the set up runs in mono with bridged amp. the whole thing sounds good , not to loud , just where i wanted it.
The question is , the front speaker seem to be "muted" now, there is no base coming out of them , is this normal , did somebody else experience the same thing ?
any info would be appreciated
thanks
Nick.

it's not the sub....
I already tried disconecting the sub , and stock bose sounds the same as before, meaning full bass front and back. as soonest i conected the PAC SNI 35 back to rear speakers the base is gone from the front speakers. I did checked all connections - right channel from bose going to right channel on PAC and left channel from Bose going to left channel of the PAC , and than going to bridged amp in mono set up powering one 12" woofer. Over all I'm satisfied with the set up but the absence of bass up front got me thinking......
I'm pretty sure that guys with similar set up have experienced same problem.
To quick check for it , just adjust all the fade to front , you will see the difference with the sub and without it.
Thanks

The SNI-35 was not designed to be utilized with the Bose system, but it works. The quality is lower than using other kits, but I won't go there yet. Secondly, you've tapped the system AFTER the EQ (which is inside the amp), instead of before the EQ. That alone will degrade your signal to the subs.
As far as the noise/volume reduction, the SNI-35 introduces some resistance into the REAR speaker lines, but not enough to be noticable at normal volumes. The Bose amp is a 4 channel amp, but each channel is said to be independent (this has yet to be proven/disproven). I'd check to see if maybe the SNI-35 that you have is defective. It's possible that the SNI-35 is increasing resistance beyond the design of the amp (therefore decreasing the volume output). Also, unplug the RCA cables on the SNI-35 (but leave it still attached) and see if the problem disappears. If so, your SNI-35 is bad. Replace the SNI-35 with the AOEM-NIS2 kit for best results. It's a little more money, but it's worth it.
And for hooking up subs to the system, check the audio forum's FAQ. I've written enough articles about the Bose system and the adapters/convertors to cover what you are looking for. And oh... I have a SNI-35 in the drawer right now. Just letting you know that the quality of the SNI-35 is far less than the AOEM-NIS2 or the ROEM-NIS2 kits (also made by PAC).

thank YOU !!!!
very appreciated !!!!, btw I already disconected the RCA's and the problem still exist, I will try to tap in to rear speaker before the amps, and see how that will work.
Thanks again - Studman

Bose system with sni 35
I have a 2015 Nissan Sentra with the Bose system and I tapped into my rear speakers right before the wiring harness on the speakers with the sni-35 and I've used the 15 too. And I've had no problems with hooking them right before the wire harness on the rear speakers and it works just fine
