mono vs stereo

Depends on the ohm load/power you can get out of it. Usally subs run mono and you can't tell a difference when you have the same power...But some cercomstance you can...with all that said they only thing i would expect is that maybe it could be louder depending one what the hell you have now and what this mono amp is...But theres alot of varibles with zero info.

WARNING Make sure you match up your impedances. If not, you may blow that amp. In other words, if that mono amp is only stable to 4ohms, make sure your two subs are 8ohms each(parrallel) or 2ohms each(series). If it's 2ohm stable, then you can go 4ohms each.

Two 8 ohm subs wired parallel will be a 4 ohm load. Now with your stereo amp if you bridge it into 4 ohms the amp sees it the same way as seeing a pair of 2 ohm subs in stereo. This is for conventional amps. You would need a pair of 8 ohms dual voice coil subs to get a true 2 ohm load from a pair of 8 ohm subs. 8/4 = 2, the math is actually a tiny bit more complex than that. But it's okay to shortcut with that situation.

two subs(with the same ohms) parallel = half the ohms of one sub
two subs(w/ the same ohms) series = double the ohms of one sub
4 subs(or two subs with dual coils) parallel = 1/4 the ohms of one sub or coil
ex. two 4ohm, dual coil subs(four 4ohm coils total) in parallel will equal to 1ohm
