Bose speakers the same front and back??
Bose speakers the same front and back??
Are the speakers that come with the BOSE system the same all around? Can I put a speaker from the back into the front panel? I have an extra back speaker and a blown front right speaker...if I can just swap it out I can save $$$$. Thanks.

I think you can. I heard that the speakers are the same, the only difference is that the back ones have an extra amp attached to them. To be sure you are doing the right thing, all you got to do is check that the physical shape of the speaker is the same, and then read what the amperage is stamped on the speaker. If they match, you shouldn't have a problem.

I think you would be able to. They are the same size all around. The bose system sucks for you are trying to up grade sound. I bought a $680 clarion head unit. I did not know it would work with bose speakers. I was given only one option:
-Buy new speakers and re wire them.
I found a part called an interface coverter. It makes it where you can use aftermarket head units with the bose speakers. It saved me an a$$load of money. And i am talking jennifer lopez a$$.

Hey guys, I just want to replace one blown speaker. I actually already removed the blown one and before I go spending $1000+ for a whole new system (which I will do eventually) because of one speaker I want to get back to having sound coming out from all four corners without having to spend money if I didn't have to. I know the aftermarket stuff is better than the stock BOSE but my money is focused on keeping the car running properly, looking good, and than sounds. It really makes no sense upgrading to a beautiful sounding system if you car looks and runs like sh*t. That's something that them Honda and Toyota boys do

The bose speakers are 1 ohm all around, so the front and rear cones are electrically compatable. As long as you can physically fit it in the front door, a rear speaker will work up there. The only issue you might have is if the screw locations are different you will have to make new ones, but I doubt that will be a problem.

I told you they were the same when you were going to buy that speaker from me, (I guess you don't need it anymore).
