Basslink install on a 2000 Max SE With BOSE

OK got a Basslink of Ebay for like 180 and i want to install it in the rear left corner. Does anyone know the location and the color of the wires i should tap for the high level inputs. This does have the Bose amp mounted in the deck for the rear sub, but that will be removed to allow for a port. Plus will i have to connect 2 or 4 wires for the high level input. Any help would be awesome.

Don't dare tap the high level wires. You'll blow the Bose amp. Use a PAC kit to add the subwoofer to the system properly. The information you are looking for regarding the kits is available in the "Audio and Electronics" forum's FAQ (this forum's FAQ).

You'll run RCAs from the HU back to the Basslink. The PAC kit will get you RCAs off the back of the Bose HU. Then you just wire it up and enjoy.

As for removing the Bose sub, you can. It won't affect the system's stability, etc. And some people have even said that the hole where it was makes for a nice port.
