Disconnect Seat Airbag Sensor Question?

Disconnect Seat Airbag Sensor Question?
Does anyone know if I disconnect the battery before I take out my seats, if it would help with not having the airbag light activated? I have a 2k3 Max SE and I wanted to run power and signal wires under the seats to my trunk, but I do not want to have to take the car to Nissan dealership to have the ECU reset for the airbag light.

in my experince. YES..........BUT the 2k2's have an aux. battery for the ECU n' stuff..so im not sure...best bet. unplug battery, unplug SRS fuses, and any other air bag related stuff. Then proceed as normal. Then re-install seat, plug it in, plug fuses back in, plug battery back in. then fire it up.

nah it shouldnt. as LONG AS YOU DONT TURN THE CAR ON. if you turn teh car on the car does its checks on the systems. It'll see your airbag system is not powered, or your seat isnt plugged in. Then the code is stored. BUt if your battery is unplugged your fine.

All you have to do is unplug the battery for 3 minutes prior to disconnecting the connectors.
If you throw the light on, contact me via PM, email, or AIM before you visit the dealer. I'd like to try a procedure to see if it works or not.
And if anyone has a 2002-2003 with the Airbag light on because they disconnected the connector with the battery on, contact me as well.
