What's the advantage of having a basslink, I am in the market for a new subwoofer, and this seems right up my alley, I am also looking at the stealth box from JL Audio

 

The basslink is quite small, and is fairly easy to wire. Its great if you want clean bass, but its not going to equal the bass of say, 2 10" subs. People on this board have been very happy with it overall. Check out ebay for it, they go for less that $200.

 

I had 2 12"'s Lightening Audio and a 200W Fosgate Amp, a real puny system, would the basslink pound harder than this?

No. The basslink is good for no much deeper than 40Hz where it peaks. In my book, it fills in the low and but does not hit hard at all. For it's price, it would fill out any OEM system nicely for not much money and space.

 

do u an amp or is it self powered???? also where do u hook it up too???

 

it has a built in amp, you hook it up like a regular amp

 

do u have to tap into the battery??? or can u get power somewhere else?

 

I'm not sure, my wire is tapped to the battery

 

Yes you have to tap into the battery. You will need a full amp kit to install properly although some have just tapped into the rear speaker wires for the signal.
