Help Real Quick Question
Alright I just got a 2 channel 800w Kenwood amp and want to hook it up to my speakers. I have pioneer 6x9's in the back which hold about 260w each and 4" in the front that hold about 100w each. Will my amp work for the pairs. Just want to make sure before I go and get it installed tommorow.

Since it is a 2 channel amp and you have four speakers you will need to run each pair of speakers off, of each channel.
The speakers are probably 4 ohms each, if the amp is good for 2 ohms then you will need to wire up the (2) 6x9's in Paralled and the (2) 4" in Parallel, then have the 6.9's go to one channel and the 4" go to another.
By the way when you run an amp in 2 ohms it will be hotter.
Also if you do this keep in mind that your amp only has one gain control. Your 6x9's can handle more power than your 4", in turn you are limited to turning up the gain (or volume of HU) to where the 4" sounds good!
Just get a 4 channel amp!
