Pionner DEH-P9200r cd problems
My Pioneer has a problem in cd mode. It does nto play all my cds, and most of the time it sounds like you can hear the cd spinning through the speakers in the background of the songs. It makes the songs sound really bad. Also, it takes a while for the radio to even read the cds. I tried the cd laser lens cleaner and it didnt work. What else can I do?

I also just concluded this, the only cd's my radio will read and play properly (but still at some times a little weird) are music cd-r's, the ones that are specifically made for music, and say music on teh cd itself. All other normal cd-rs do not even read in teh cd player, why is that?

well i have heard of this problem. Well to be truethfull i have the pioneer premier cd player deh-p930, I called pioneer tech support and they said NOT TO USE CD LENS CLEANERS!!!! you may put scratches on the pick-up lense causing more damage!!! Here are some scenarios the cd's that you are attempting to play do they have scratches on the play side that are vertical or horizontal to the center of the cd? Pick-up lenses have a difficult time readind the encoded info on horizontal or scratches that are in a circular direction. Plus wif you have these types of scratches plus the cd player is trying to fight against rough road you will loose the battle of hearing the cd!!!. 2nd are you getting and error codes from the player? Also some players have a difficult time reading encoding info off of some CD-R and CD-RW cds make sure that they are music and not data!! data encoding uses a different format which is not mp3 or another music file. Let me know if this helps?

Ummm, I have no idea, where would I be able to find that information? All I know is that I use the Imation Music CD-R's. Also, I dont knwo what the error means, it just says that on teh face when the unit is trying to read the cd.
