if you have an X/M ready H/U then all you have to do is plug the P bus cable in the back of the new H/U and run the wire to the X/M tuner box and ground the wire that is coming off of the wire then plug up the ant. wire to the same box and run the X/M ant outside once all plugged up call X/M they will ask you some ?'s and make sure u have the X/M tuner box with you cuz they will need the serial number to activate the box then leave radio and X/M on for 1/2 hour then u will have X/M. I am a installer at best buy so if u have any more ?'s just email me and ill help ya out

no its cool man. look at the back of the radio and you will see where the pio harness plugs in then there will be a place for the X/M plug when u get the X/M box you will see a black plug one end will plug into the back of the radio and the other end will go to the tuner box. There is only one place on the back of the radio where it can go. any more ??'s just let me know

If I paint my roof mount antenna to match the car, will that affect reception?

I've heard that that will affect reception. Don't know anyone who's actually tried it tho.
