Busted JL's

Busted JL's
Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me?
I have, well had two 12" JL w4's, both shot...he he he
They feel like they are full of saw dust when i push in on them, and when i first fried them, i pushed in on them and smoke poured out of the scew holes in the box, it was pretty cool, besides the fact that my subs were on fire.
Is it possible to have them rebuilt? I thought about it, but it probably wouldn't be worth the effort. If i can do it cheap enough, i might end up with two extra 12"'s on my hands. I might just throw them back in my trunk with the others.

Re: Busted JL's
I used to have a pair of JL 12W4's...with the original pair the tinsel leads broke, so JL replaced them free of charge with a brand new pair under warrenty. To have them rebuilt by JL (for a quality job) would cost a lot (more so than many subs out there that can easily out perform a W4 now). Anyhow, you should try an elemental designs k-series subwoofer, or adire audio shiva (both can be had for about 120-130 usd).
