Does the bose wiring carry an audio signal if you bypass the amps?

Meaning if I use an aftermarket HU and aftermarket speakers, will there be an audio signal carried on the bose signal (not 12+ & ground) wires? Assume that I get the "signal" by tapping into the wires before the bose amp.

I do not like having that many wires running all over the car. That would ba a huge pain in the butt. I would have RCAs running to the rear of the car, speaker wire from the HU to the rear speakers, speaker wire from the amp top the front components, and the power wire for the amp. What a mess!

yes they do. I have my Bose signal wires being used as speaker wire. The rear are the blue and pink wires on the pass side, green and red on the driver's side. I know this because I just did it. I did the fronts a while ago, so I don't remember exactly which wires they were. I believe the driver's side door was yellow and brown. the pass side is the same two wires in the harness(can't remember colors)...and the colors DO match up from the speaker to the dash. Good luck.

Cool. I will be amping the fronts, so that is not an issue, but the rear color codes are helpful. To get the signal TO the wires, can you just use the standard wiring harness that you buy from crutchfield or a similar place, or did you have to "T" splice the signal in?

Thanks again!
