Dual (8) Underdeck Enclosure
Finally took pics of my underdeck enclosure for my two JL 8W3V2's.
There is also a couple of pics of the amp rack and trunk. I flipped over my spare and did a plate to hold misc. stuff. Also did a new
1/4" cover for the spare. Cardboard piece kept flexing under weight.
Go to my homepage for pics.

How did you mount the box to the rear deck? Did you use bolts, epoxy, etc.? Is the box sealed or ported? Do the 8's cause any excessive vibration in the rear deck and/or window? Any additional details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The box is sealed and screwed from the top of the back decklid into the enclosure. I cut out a 10 X 14 hole in the decklid. The center of the enclosure comes up thru the opening and then was dynamated with three layers. The rear decklid has not flexed at all even with the weight of the enclosure. It helps that the amp rack also supports the enclosure. With the amount of Dynamat used, I do not have any vibration. I recarpeted the top piece of the factory (cardboard) decklid with black felt carpet and screwed the woofers through that piece and into the enclosure. Looks almost factory.
