you would have to wire like 3 4 ohm speakers just to get 1.33 ohms... better getting 2 ohm dvc's but those are nearly impossible to find

Really I thought they were 2 ohm. Anyway, you can add aftermarket speakers, you just need to rewire the entire car.

I don't know, can anyone else answer this? I'd like to install some aftermarket speakers, but would I have to rewire the car?

You would think with all the Bose systems out there that one of the big car stereo companies would make replacement speakers and a plug and play amp and subwoofer to make all of us happy.

That seems tedious to rewire the car... does Bose make special wires or something that regular aftermarket speakers can't pick up on or something? Seems foolish.

the power coming out of the bose is very low, because bose speakers themselves are self amplified. after market speakers will sound like crap bc there is not alot of power going to them

Well if I change the head unit, then that will beef up the power right? Then I wouldn't need to re wire the car...

the ones behind the head unit would be able to be used to the new head unit with an adaptor, i dont know how the speaker wire connections would work, but i assume that u'd have to run new wires to the speakers
