no power to new and stock HU...why???

Attempting to install an alpine HU. I have the nissan harness with RCA's. I'm supposed to connect 1)ground (black) 2)constant power (yellow) 3)battery power (red). I got no power after those connections. I reinstalled my stock HU and that didn't turn on either. I'm kinda new at this stuff. Do I need to connect the remote turn on?? I thought I blew a fuse but I checked them and they were all fine. Where are all the fuses located on a 5th gen anyway in case I missed some??? 2 boxes under the hood and 1 by the driver's left leg. where else? Sorry about all the Q's but I'm stuck.
thanks for any help
setup:
alpine HU
4 chan alpine amp (components)
1 chan alpine amp (10" sub)

Well you checked all the fuses. There is no other fuse box on the 5th gen. And I don't know how to hook up the HU.

Do you have a DMM? If so meter the wires to see IF they are even getting power. Also what did you use for ground? The factory harness doesnt supply, so you need to make your own. Once you get it working, dont forget to clip the brown wire with a white stripe and ground that as well. Email me if you have any other questions..

Thanks guys for the help. turns out, I did have to ground out the HU. I just saw a black wire and figured it would ground itself. I really appreciate the help. should I tap into the power antenna for the remote turn-on for my amps??

Glad it worked out for ya. Alpines should have a seperate wire for turn on of the amp. There is a blue (antenna) and a blue with white stripe (amps). I may have those backwards, but Im pretty sure that is correct.
