no power to new and stock HU...why???
Attempting to install an alpine HU. I have the nissan harness with RCA's. I'm supposed to connect 1)ground (black) 2)constant power (yellow) 3)battery power (red). I got no power after those connections. I reinstalled my stock HU and that didn't turn on either. I'm kinda new at this stuff. Do I need to connect the remote turn on?? I thought I blew a fuse but I checked them and they were all fine. Where are all the fuses located on a 5th gen anyway in case I missed some??? 2 boxes under the hood and 1 by the driver's left leg. where else? Sorry about all the Q's but I'm stuck.
thanks for any help
setup:
alpine HU
4 chan alpine amp (components)
1 chan alpine amp (10" sub)

Once you get it working, dont forget to clip the brown wire with a white stripe and ground that as well. Email me if you have any other questions..

Glad it worked out for ya. Alpines should have a seperate wire for turn on of the amp. There is a blue (antenna) and a blue with white stripe (amps). I may have those backwards, but Im pretty sure that is correct.
