stereo reception - help please!

I've had an ongoing problem with the stereo reception on my kenwood excelon receiver. i installed the unit about a year ago, and noticed poor reception from the start. i assumed it was just the receiver, but i checked all the connections and the reception got much better when i unplugged the antenna connector and replugged it back in. unfortunately, this solves the problem for about a week, and then the reception gradually gets bad again. once in a wihle, i'll start up the car in the morning, and it'll be good, but very rarely. any suggestions on where to begin? appreciate your help.

Did you hook up the Rem ant wire? If not, the Maxima has an internal ant amplifier that must be powered. Try that, hopefully that works.

when you hooked up the deck, did you connect the remote antennae wire? There's an internal antennae amplifier that must be powered. Try that. That's all I got.

It's a blue/white wire from the deck. only way to check is to pull the h/u. it should be labeled rem ant.

Hope it works

No you need to hook your remote line from radio to antenae wire from wiring harness. Should be marked on wire.
