Just bought a system and 1/2 install

My friends and I began the installation process on my car. We looked for the firewall and then gave up and came to the forums. The forums said to take the driver's wheel off and run it through there. Well, being lazy and not having enough time, we just turned my wheel to the left all the way and was able to get the wires through the firewall. I was happy about that. So the wires are ran to the trunk and now I just need to buy a converter. Can I use the subwoofer's signal to the amp? Will this work?

Stevo

P.S. Also, I got a simple system, 12" Kicker Comp VR and a 12" angled closed box. I'm using my old Alpine amp (150 watts).

Be sure that the sheet metal will not chafe or cut the insulation on the power wire- that could be bad!

The existing sub signal SHOULD work to send a signal to the new sub amp.
