Bose headunit question

Bose headunit question

Are the Bose speakers required for the headunit to function (play sound at least at the same quality as the GXE stock system)? I want to start by getting the Headunit cheap and then speakers, but will not if I have to install whole system. Thanks.

u need the whole thing. pearlmax96 (i think that's the name) can hook u up with some Diamond stuff.
