I am planning a sterwo upgrade over the week and i am installing new tweeters,and door speakers and installing a pair of tens in the trunk.I have a 02 max with the bose system, i was wondering if i have to replace the stock radio or can i leave it?? i dont want to replace the stock radio because i cant really afford it and i wanted to change it later when i can afford a better one., please help asap.

 

Leave it alone. This is exactly what I did and it sounds great. I have the stock deck running to Audiobahn tweets, Pioneer mids, and an Elemental Designs 12" sub. Just make sure you get a GOOD line output converter.

i have subsin my car and it was pretty easy to install them with the bose system. as for the tweeters, well i havent done those yet so i'm not sure. i think you can do it without touching the stock deck though

 

ASU, you are running Pioneer mids off the Bose amp? If you want to use the Bose HU and replace the speakers and have aftermarket amp, IMO the best thing to get is called the AOEM-NIS2. You can get it from Affsave.com. It is an excellent unit and is completely plug and play. It will give you 4 RCAs out. 2 front and 2 rear. Plug them into the amp and enjoy.

 

I don't have Bose in my 02, but I was in my 00 and it sounded great. You can run it just fine off the Bose amp.
