Front Speaker install replacing bose

If I install aftermarket front speakers with an after market head unit can connect them to the stock bose wiring if I just connect the headunit to the stock speaker wire in the dash and the speakers to the speaker wires in the door?...or will it not work because bose works different?

You should really rewire the speakers. I recently just did this and thought it was going to be horrible, but it wasn't bad at all (in a 4th gen though dunno what you have). I ran the wires from the doors through the factory groumets(sp?) and picked up the wire under the dash and ran it straight to the radio.

So you ran from the doors to the car instead of from car to the door? Also, did you put the wires all the way behind the dash or did you run them from the kickboxes under the floor mat and through the console into the dash?

I didn't take my whole dash apart, just the steering column and that piece under it. So I ran the wire from the speakers into the car since the groumet is kinda up in the middle of the dash and is a little tricky to get to. Once the wire is into the car I just zip tied it under the dash and came behind the radio. I got some instal pics i'll post up in a minute, gotta dl em off my camera.
