I was just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to hook up a navigation system to one of those 7 inch screens redmax sells. Either a GPS or somesort of navigation because that seems a little more practical than watching DVD's in your car. If anyone has ANY information on this I appreciate it. Also comments are welcome. Thanks again for reading this.

this idea isn't new. it's been done over and over using a computer in the car since the mid to late 90's. check out www.mp3car.com if you're really interested. But just to sum things up: Redmax's screens might not work that well w/GPS software because his screen is NTSC. You will need to read small words on the screen for GPS, and the quality of text on NTSC screens will be too fuzzy for you to read. You can do a few things including: Getting a bigger screen, say 10.4" or 12.1" or you can get a laptop and mount it between the drivers and passenger's seat, or you can get a VGA screen which should handle small text just fine. Or the other route, which is much more costly is to just get one of those Pioneers that have a CD/DVD/MP3 player, LCD, and GPS capability all in one.
