hello, i have a 1998 GLE with the stock bose system. recently, my cds will not play anymore. my bose system says ERR and the cd pops out. i am sooo sad is this problem fixable?

 

It is, but it ain't cheap. Now would be a great time to upgrade your stereo!

Sell the parts that work and take the cash towards new toys.

 

Largestal- How much are we talking? Cause I don't think I'm ready to replace everything but I could *probably* afford to fix it. Mine does the same thing but only with burned CDs. It hates burned CDs.

 

it could be one of two things (this happened to me)

1. the laser in the bose tends to fail and its 150 to repair that.
2. the cd wont spin when you put it in the deck (this happened to me). you need to fold up a piece of paper to make it kind of thick (it just needs to be a couple inches long and like 1 inch wide). what you want to do is after you insert a cd, put the piece of paper in and try pushing the cd lightly into place. this fixed my problem but only temporarily, it kept happening again.
