Head Unit Replacement Question

Can anyone help me with a stereo problem. I have a 96 GXE and am attempting to replace my single DIN head unit with a double din head unit from a 97 maxima. The fit is perfect however, the new unit does not have a place to plug in the two prong plug that I'm guessing controls the antenna. Antenna goes up and down when the radio is on it just does not stop on any specific stations. Here is a second problem, is this two prong plug the reason I have no volume? Every function on the new head unit works but I cannot hear anything...What can I do to make this work in my 96? Any and all help or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

This is not a Bose HU. It is a stock clarion from a '97 maxima. My car has the two prong plug but the 97 HU I am trying to put in does not have the receptical to plug it in to.

so you are saying that the plugs coming out of the dash don't fit into the deck? sounds like you just need a wiring harness...assuming you bought the deck used? if not you should be able to go back and get one...otherwise check with local stereo store for one...not sure of cost....

Yes, I bought this deck used. It came from a 97 Maxima. My 96 wiring harness fits perfectly into this deck. I have power (the clock works, the cd player shows that its running etc) but I have no sound!!! Everything is hooked up except for the two prong plug which has no where to go because this new deck doesn't have any place for me to plug it in. I'm guessing its an antenna jack. Does anyone know why I cant hear anything!!??

go to best buy and buy the antenna adapter, it's around 20 bucks.
