Installing sub with factory wiring

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but the search is not working.

I just bought an '02 SE and want to install my amp and small 8" bandpass in the trunk. I see that the previous owner had done an amp and sub install, as the wires are hacked up a bit, and the stock sub is missing.

Do any of you know what wires in the trunk are the line level speaker wires that I could tap into for my amp? Does that Bose system use line level before their stock amp? Have any of you done this and had success. I know the best option would be to rip everything out and start again, but I'm going to retain as close to factory as I can for now.

Thanks for your help!!!

Here's a link that will help with the wiring:

As far as I know, many pp add subs to a Bose system, just tap the wires before the built in amp on each of the rear speakers.

Sub installed

Hey, thanks man! I actually found that link last night in a post a few down from mine. That's EXACTLY what I was looking for. I hooked up my amp and sub a few hours ago, and I'm BACK in business. I missed not having my sub in there for the couple days that I owned the car. Now if I could just get the rest of my speakers to be as loud as that sub.....

That link is king, and thanks for helping me find it.

Do you know if this type of link is availible for 4th Gen, non-Bose headunits?
If so I would love to see it
Thanks

I have no idea if something like this is available. I'm sure if you dig enough you will find it. This link is off of this dude's website which is VERY thorough about his '02.

Good luck!!
