custom trunk design! need help.

i saw a few .org membrs had there back of the trunk divided in half by a board/box, with 2 subs in the back. anyone got that picture? i need an idea of what it will look like. also do i need a spare tire with a AAA membership??.lol

im going with 2 12" fosgate H2's, and a 1400 rosate amp, and a digital reading fosgate batery capacitor. do i need a capictor with an extra system battery in trunk?

Only problem is that if your tire goes flat in November you may still be waiting in March for AAA to show up. Has something to do with the driver of the truck getting almost nothing for his or her effort. Think about it, would you respond to a AAA call when you could be making money somewhere else at the same time? Average response time once a call is made is at least 3 hours for AAA in the DC, Md, Va region. Bad weather or heavy traffic and the response time goes up proportionally. A total waste of money.

Don't you mean gray? And yes, I agree with you - I didn't pick that colour and it is being redone soon.

most ppl are doing fiberglass, it gives it a cleaner & custom look to it.

Most people feel like paying 3x what I paid, and having a non-useable trunk...

I'm not one of them.

Trunk works for me

how much did you pay for that custom trunk?

also is your trunk useable? i don't see any grills on your woofers.

Carpet bottom is definitely more usefull and more resistant to road noise penetration. Also don't have to worry about scratches everytime you use the trunk.

Hey GLES,

The trunk cost me $1000 CDN - and that included a JL12W3v2 sub with it. I already had one sub, wanted two. They are both sunk into a wheel well based fibreglass/mdf box, and there is a false floor. The side panel stuff does take away useful trunk space, but I have enough room in there for two larger suitcases still. I need speaker grilles, yes, but I don't generally put anything in there right now.
The only thing I want changed is the colour of the carpet in the amp/crossover racks. And maybe a plexi cover that goes over them and some neons.
Nothing spectacular, but also redo-able - should my carpeting get shoddy, I can fix it.

This is a good topic, because I have a big amp and a JL 10W3. I want to install both in the trunk and still have room for golf clubs. Anyone have pics of something like that?
